Elysium Plot Synopsis

A first official plot synopsis of Elysium has been revealed:

Plot:
"In the year 2159 two classes of people exist: the very wealthy who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Rhodes (Jodie Foster), a hard line government of?cial, will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium. That doesn’t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in, by any means they can. When unlucky Max (Matt Damon) is backed into a corner, he agrees to take on a daunting mission that if successful will not only save his life, but could bring equality to these polarized worlds."

The 99% is stuck on Earth and wants to join the wealthy few on orbit. Well I bet it's going to a fun movie to watch!

Elysium Movie

Elysium MovieDirector Neill Blomkamp will team up again with actor Sharlto Copley (they previously worked together on the awesome sci-fi movie District 9) for the movie Elysium. If you're wondering, no, it's not a sequel to District 9. The film is touted as a futuristic story set on a far away planet. The project is still at a very early stage: Director Neill Blomkamp is for now pitching his idea to the studios.

The plot of Elysium is still kept under wrap: all we know is that the story will likely take place on a far away planet in the future. But is it a movie about humans or aliens? Or both? Well don't want to speculate for now... Just hoping that Elysium will be a movie as creative and edgy as District 9.

Anyway, stay tune with us for more information about the movie Elysium soon!
